The 13th annual awards showcased more than 8151 hotels worldwide but only the top 10 made the cut on the finalist list.
The top hotel in the world went to Gili Lankanfushi Maldives, Lankanfushi, Maldives.
The Travellers’ Choice award winners “were determined based on the millions of reviews and opinions collected in a single year from TripAdvisor travellers worldwide,” the review site stated.
“The Travellers’ Choice list of thousands of award-winning properties is perfect to inspire travellers as they think about their 2015 travel plans,” TripAdvisor, chief marketing officer, Barbara Messing said.
According to the company, the Travellers’ Choice awards take into account the quality and quantity of traveller reviews and opinions and traveller ratings specific to each award category.
Cocoa Island by COMO got listed in the sixth place while Constance Moofushi is in 15th place.
